Situation in the World 2020 : Grief about our selfish attitude as next gen
We are in the middle of a global havoc. With the rise of Corona Virus again in Beijing, possibilities of a second layer of the life-taking virus are being considered. Many countries are still just at the peak of first layer, and this is the news they have to prepare themselves for. Unemployment, food shortage and serious illnesses are seen all around. No one is able to understand what is going to stop this. Will we all have to suffer till the vaccine arrives? All because of one nation - the one who started it all, say country A.Now that enmity towards country A is increasing around the world and country A's companies are suffering, people are getting unemployed, country A's population is turning against their own Government. On this background, what does country A do? country A decides to attack India, change the attention of the entire world and it's own citizens from their wicked and insensitive actions, to the war with India.
How can a country be so cruel? In a time when people are uniting to help each other survive in every nation, Country A is more focused on becoming powerful at the cost of several lives of other populations as well as its own citizens. How can we as a global community tolerate this one rotten mango in the basket? It needs to be thrown out so that we can again live in a happy glowing world.
On one hand, there is a country like A who's leaders are behind lives of their citizens, and on the other hand there are countries like India with able leaders who are willing to compromise even the economy to save lives. As Indians, it is our duty to stand firmly behind our leaders, and help the nation unite and overcome this crisis.
As IITians and as students, India needs us the most right now. It is our responsibility to come up with innovative solutions to the numerous problems arising everyday, to make India Atmanirbhar. We are considered the brighter slot. We dreamed of being in an IIT, and here we are. But what are we doing now? Is it more important to compete with our own batchmates, show our skills at making them envious in a time when the world is on fire? Do marks, grades, internships matter more than lives of our fellow citizens? Country A's strategy is optimal cost, maximal output. We need to create cheaper products and technologies to make India truly independent, so that cheaper country A products do not attract the citizens of the world, but Indian products do. Our expertise should be seen in new tech solutions for India, not just in our marks.
I grieve deeply about the mental state we have taught ourselves to be in. This pandemic has taught me that there are greater things, things that matter more than your expertise and certificates, your CGPA. We really need to come together for our nation right now. India's future is in our hands. We have to create technologies and services that are cheaper, and yet provide excellent quality. We are so much capable, Indians are running high-caps all around the world. And if we come together, nothing can stop India from becoming the superpower.
This article has got me thinking really hard. I agree with you....we must go beyond grades and certificates and work on problems of our citizens.
